| Comment: Tony, To tell you the truth, since I was 12 years old I have had the hots for Princess Aura. If I would have be Flash in "Space Soliders". I would have told Dale ,thanks but no thanks and gone away with Aura. Of course I have always like brunettes over blondes. But, the only downside would be having Ming the Merciless as a father-in-law and his old girlfriend as his mother-in-law. What's a Space Hero to do???? | Comment: Constance Bennett Moore, sister of famous
actress Joan Bennett, was in Buck Rodgers Conquers the Universe, NOT
Flash Gordon. Sad to hear that Carol Hughes, who played Dale in the third Flash Gordon series died in 1995. I was born a couch potato and remember seeing all the serials at a very early age. When I was fourteen I fell in love with a petite brunette with a lovely and vivacious personality. In my forties I bought the serial vid |

inclusion of the music from the first FG serial. The very sound of it brings back to me the feeling of exotic adventure which has led me to both religion and Asia. Thank you. P+ |

| Comment: Hi again. I just wanted to add another
positive comment about your site and your selections. Your pick of the
Crucifixion theme from Bride of Frankenstein is exactly right for the
Flash Gordon theme. From the first time I saw Flash Gordon (Flash
Gordon's Trip to Mars was the first FG serial I saw as a kid) I
associated this music with him. Fact is, it seems that when I watch B of
F, the music seems wrong; I expect to see Flash jump out of the woods
and save the day at any moment! Cheers |

say is I hope you can add the sparks and smoke on Zarkov's rocketship
that flared out the side coils, and at the four "jets" near
the tail! Great work! Great graphic materials, and proof of the strange mix-ups that has plagued fans regarding the feature versions of the serials, ROCKETSHIP and MARS ATTACKS THE WORLD! The Mexican lobby-card combines elements from BUCK ROGERS, FLASH GORDON and refers to F.G. CONQUERS THE UNIVERSE! |

| Comment: Absolutely terrific website! I interviewed
Buster Crabbe some 20 years ago, when he appeared in Chicago. The
FILMFAX article is a severely cut version of material that was to go
into a book on the serials - which I'm re-working right now! My first
book, SINSITER SERIALS OF BORIS KARLOFF, BELA LUGOSI AND LON CHANEY,
JR., is now out from Midnight Marquee Press. One thing I'd add onto the great graphics of Dr. Zarkov's rocketship... smoke and sparks coming from the cylinder coil from the m |

| Comment: You've done a great job! I first saw these serials in Saturday Matinees between 1949 and 1951. Later, they were on TV, where, I believe Al Hodges' "Captain Video" show included chopped segments. The music was always major component and it increased my appreciation of Classical music. Did you identify the Classical links to the various pieces, or were they provided by your source material? | ||

| Comment: Re the poster question - well, I 'm pretty
sure Constance Moore never appeared in any "Flash Gordon"

the poster? Great site - I've always been a "Flash" fan ever since I first saw the serials as a child in the 1950's. Regards, Alistair |

I'm also trying to locate any movie clips, etc. about him. I can't seem to find any to rent. It may just be that I don't know what to ask for...but I'm learning. Thanks, Lindsay! | ||

| Comment: Well, besides the photo from the first
Flash serial as noted by a previous guest - the left side illo is from
Buck Rogers! As is the upper right fellow "falling" through
the sky. Constance of course played Wilma Deering in Buck Rogers...which I presume this poster is really mistakenly made up for. Flash's name doesn't actually appear. Great site! |

| Comment: Response to "What's Wrong With the Poster?" If this is for the third serial, "Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe", then the photograph is from the first serial, "Flash Gordon." Also, if the names listed translated the dialogue into Spanish, I am surprised that Buster Crabbe and Constance Moore spoke Spanish. If they are supposed to be the actors in the serial, then only Buster Crabbe is correct, the others did not appear in the serial. | ||
